What this means, in plain English

Shopify is currently trading at $148.65, down 3.67% today. The stock is moving sideways, meaning it is not clearly trending up or down. It remains above its 200-day average of $131.07, which is a common benchmark used to determine the long-term direction of a stock.

The RSI, or Relative Strength Index, sits at 61.6. This is a gauge of whether a stock has climbed too far, too fast, where a reading above 70 usually suggests it is overbought. At this level, the stock is neither extremely hot nor cold, supporting a cautious hold stance.

    Should you buy Shopify stock?

Buying now would mean entering near the top of its recent range of $158.87. Since the price is currently in a sideways trend, there is no immediate pressure to act. A hold strategy allows you to see if the price stabilizes or moves toward the support level of $115.27.

What Shopify insiders have been doing

Executives and directors must disclose their own trades in company stock. Of the last 6 disclosed transactions we hold for Shopify, 6 were sales and 0 were open-market purchases. Insiders sell for many ordinary reasons — scheduled plans, tax, diversification — so a sale is not by itself a signal.
